From Your Shadow
“From Your Shadow” is a puzzle platformer story game about a young penguin’s journey in search of the secret to flight. You navigate through the ancient ruins of light with the help of Shadow: a companion with the ability to climb shadows!
The story follows the two characters as we learn about their personalities, goals, and insecurities, slowly learning to accept themselves the way they are. Will the penguin acquire flight? And what challenges will the duo face? Find out in this short story about friendship and acceptance!
CONTROLS:
WASD / Arrows - Movement
Space - Activate / Deactivate "shadow mode"
F - Activate / Deactivate a "shadow circle"
Space / Enter - advance dialogue

Great job man! The mechanics are definitely interesting and can lead to great puzzles. Progression and story elements are well delivered. I would next focus on the playability and level design. I could finish the game but the penguin was a bit slow and waiting for a platform to comeback because you just missed it can become frustrating.
Love the faces during dialogues haha.

Glad i stuck with this one past the intro! You should be proud of these mechanics. pretty good! I got stuck at the 3 platforms, i don' think the dropping from platforms is quite responsive enough make me think this particular screen is fair. Also i wanted to be able to skip through the dialog faster. Really good job!! keep making games!!
Thank you so much! I've only been getting into gamedev for the past few weeks so I'm by no means there yet, but it's definitely something I enjoy! And I'll polish the mechanics in the future, they were left clunky due to time constraints and doing solo dev :)
